Not on this machine, but my brother's laptop used to. Next time he's here (if he didn't delete it -- it was having lockup issues), I can try at least the first few packages in the book, to make sure this lets gcc compile (and then make sure that gcc works, at least for the first few packages, as well). I doubt the machine would be here for long enough to do a full LFS build (let alone an ICA), but those might be good tests to do eventually, if someone has the time.
