Well, the way I read Alexander's archived post at http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/lfs-dev/2006-January/055426.html, "Russian characters" (i.e. what you got) is expected, while the "English tutorial" is an acceptable fallback, and is what the book did at that time. It *looks* like vimtutor -- or at least the way LFS installs it now -- has simply gotten better. If that's correct: Yay! ;-) The rest all look good, except grep (which it sounds like you're testing). -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFI/UG7S5vET1Wea5wRA+lWAKCLH/36144ff5oTQ/Be59d0AUQq8wCfaLtW AwPE3cCZz0uQHMJvNSoO5Lw= =S2GR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
