Matt, the OP is right. In official releases, the Glibc tarball does not ship with libidn. But we've been using snapshots which *do* include it. I commented out the stuff about libidn when I updated the book to use a snapshot, but now that we're back to an official tarball, we need the instructions to download the libidn tarball like the book *used* to be.
