Fixed.  I think this was because the automatic book rendering script
wasn't completing successfully, but not entirely sure.  We'll see what
happens after any future commits.

Officially, no, you shouldn't need any of the bootscripts.  However, you
will probably have trouble bringing up your network without the
ifup/ifdown helpers that are in that tarball at the moment.  I've
removed the download links in r10174.  I'll try to figure out what to do
about network interfaces next.
