Hi,
I have a few questions regarding LFS after systemd removal.
1.- Is systemd-journal group needed in /etc/groups?
No, but it doesn't hurt anything. I think we are trying to stay synced
with the systemd book as much as possible, but I'm not sure if sysd
needs other groups as well.
2.- In section 5.33, util-linux-2.24.2 is built
--without-systemdsystemunitdir, "on systems that use systemd". Is there
need for this switch in the main command?
Yes. It installs some .service files that we definitely don't want.
3.- Also, section 7.3 starts with "In Chapter 6, we installed the Udev
package as a part of systemd." Is this reference still valid?
No. I've made a change in my sandbox and that will be updated at the
next commit.
