I have updated the "beginner's guide to installing from source":
* added Appendix A with brief introduction to makefile syntax (Brian Dobbs)
* added example of building in separate directory (Daniel Schepler)
* fixed section on cmake (Daniel,Brian)
* described using "su" as alternative to "sudo"
* fixed a couple of trivial typos
The new version is at the same location as previously:
