Hi All,
While following the LFS book, I noticed that the binaries generated by
the e2fsprogs (Section 6.28) package *get the mount point of the chroot
filesystem* embedded into them - ie a path from the host. Running
"strings" on any of the binaries showed it clearly.
This had me worried for a while, thinking I had done something wrong.
Eventually I realized it was _only_ these programs, and that those
strings disappeared if I ran "strip" on the executables.
Does this happen to other people too? If so, maybe it would be worth
mentioning in the book?
Regards,
Simon
