Dear LFS Community,

This is a thread about your wish lists to my project for unifying LFS and CLFS.

Some thoughts to the motivation to unify both books. Most of us own
and use a variety of platforms today. x86 and ARM machines and also
some MIPS - as network hardware for example -. Of course the platform
of choice for all these is GNU/Linux. And if someone wants to learn
how to create an operating system he most likely wants to setup a
cross-compile machine and/or even use the weaker platform as some
distcc client. Only the unified Cross-LFS+LFS can give us this.

I want to create an extended LFS by
 1) using LFS as the x86 to x86 and amd64 to amd64 "sub-book" and for
all other compile targets using the CLFS "sub-book",
 2) adding the USE flags of Gentoo to the packages of LFS and CLFS,
 3) adding the options of the Hints to the book (to give some live to
this section of LFS),
 4) adding the commands for creating kernels for the Qemu and
Virtualbox platforms,
 5) and last but not least I want to create a "mobile friendly html5
user interface" to this unified book.

But of course there are other points I surely forgot. Now tell me of
them and let us create a unified community of LFS and CLFS users.
