Currently, I am getting the expected 501 failure for the newer version
of libtool, along with 503 which is due to new perl syntax.
Because I'm just being really, really picky, there is a patch for this
in the repo. Not sure what current status is WRT patching test suites
for the book, but the alternate was:
sed -e '/foreign/d' -e '/autoscan/d' -i tests/suite.at
That just kills tests 501-503 (502 normally passes). If you are also
seeing 279, I expect it is the same " ` " vs " ' ", but it gets skipped
if no longer have the old /lib/cpp symlink (books do not have the
symlink any longer, but I figure it might be lingering on a few machines
yet). I needed it during bootstrap (because I was getting rid of .la
files) and included it in final system, but it obviously wasn't needed
(or wanted).
