I'm not setup for jhalfs. When I can get back to this I plan to
retry make install-libs manually in chroot under fedora, to see if I
can capture exactly what fails (segfault, I think).

I'm fairly sure we've also had people on the support lists using
Centos (older than f23, but still a fedora/redhat variant) without
unfixable problems.

For the issues at linuxquestions, google found one or two examples of
missing host requirements, one failed attempt in what was then the
previous fedora release (19, I think) and perhaps related to a
problem with the gcc version in tht release, and then the blanket
warning:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-from-scratch-13/%5Bcontributed-notice%5D-using-fedora-to-build-lfs-not-advised-4175485207/

Reading that showed that somebody then managed to build using F19.
He or she had doubts about the reported selinux errors (in toolchain
tests, apparently - that probably fits where I got them), but the
end result seemed to be ok.

Google did not find any other specific problem reports, only people
saying "do not use fedora as the host".
