Hi,
I noticed that during the 'make -k check' the whole gold test suite
(240+ tests) is skipped due to an error.

Upon further investigation, it turns out that this is due to a
missing static stdc++ file.
There is a simple fix for this. In the Creating Essential Files and
Symlinks
change
ln -sv /tools/lib/libstdc++.so{,.6} /usr/lib
to
ln -fsv /tools/lib/libstdc++.{a,so{,.6}} /usr/lib
After this change the gold testsuite executed correctly with only one
test failure.
The test failure was with relro_test.
After a quick Google search it turns out that this is due to a
missing dc (bc) command.
I personally just stubbed out the test without looking at it further.

Wayne.
Thanks Wayne. 2.28 should be out any day now, will address at that time.

Shouldn't we put this in the errata? Since the book states binutils
tests are considered critical, I guess some users might worry about
240+ failing tests... I can take care of that if agreed.
