Your distro, your rules.
We've tended to put it in abeyance until approaching a release
simply because of the frequency of releases.
I've built 6.9.9-40 with the 6.9.9-35 patch, I think it is likely
that 6.9.9-51 will also take that patch. For 6.9.10, no idea what
has changed - the patch might need to be fixed up. I've also built
7.0.7-28. For a long time it looked as if they were mostly making
fixes for fuzzing issues.
