I'm now at the stage where I no-longer trust my own results. Editors
who have found my mails in their spam filters will know why, for
everyone else - I screwed up the pkgconfig files part of the
essential symlinks changes from last month by accidentally adding a
'>>$KM_LOG' which of course meant that the output file was empty, and
then somehow I thought that they were ok although e2fsprog's configure
told be some were empty).
So, apart from thinking that I really do need to completely give
this up, it's with some trepidation that I suggest we do not need
ln -sfv /tools/lib/lib{blk,uu}id.so.1 lib
and
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/tools/lib in 'make check' for e2fsprogs.
I believe they are not needed since r11432. And at least we should add
`--enable-relative-symlinks` now.
Sorry it took so long to get back to this. I have traced what
--enable-relative-symlinks does and am having a little trouble figuring
out what exactly :q
the option does. I traced it to the file ./build/util/install-symlink
where the option --relative is passed, but I don't see what it does
unless DESTDIR is used (but we don't do that).
AFAICT, the switch does not seem to change anything for us. I'm
reluctant to add it.
