Couple more suggestions for tidying things up. I noticed, in the 8.3 tagged sources that Chapter 5 still has XML files for GMP and MPFR (though not MPC ?), presumably from back when these were installed externally to GCC, whereas they are now un-tar-ed within the GCC source dir.
Similarly, Chapter 6 still has an XML file for Berkeley DB, although in pointing out that it could be removed, I actually still make use of it on my system, after having updated it against the current BLFS file. None of these files are referenced by the main chapter XML files though, so these really are "tidying up" observations.
