Hi, especially for educational purposes (git, linux/lfs - development and administration, english writing refresh, kernel-configuration...) I created a new LFS-LiveCD release with new package definitions.
The git - project: https://github.com/MaiRat/linux-livecd/tree/lfs-livecd-9.0 In the patch - folder in the above repo, there is a diff against the lfs-livecd trunk: http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/browser/trunk With this LiveCD you can build your LFS 9.0 environment. It has a very preview state, because of (possible many) issues. One is related to network startup (only DHCP and manually activation by executing dhcpcd on the command line). Another refers to the kernel configuration. I don't know, if this is common enough to cover the most systems. The Xorg environment is based on VESA, which need to be initialized by adding vga=<code> to the boot command line. I prefer to refresh the official LFS-LiveCD. If this remains abandoned, I will try to maintain my git repo. Feel free to try it out. Maik P.S. It has very limited changes to the structure compared to the original. It has big potential to automate and optimize the build, but I want to have a stable base.
