There were over 2400 "releases" to version 8.1 before 8.2 was

I'm inclined to suggest upgrading to 8.2, and then upgrading to a
8.2-based patch release (barring security issues) before 9.1 is
released. The primary reason for this is the new features that are
added. I know a majority of you guys won't use them, but the syntax
highlighting additions will be very nice for my eyes. I might be a bit
biased though :)
