I tried other versions of gcc, binutils, glibc and it works fine. I have come from an entirely different background and not used to post messages in forums. Thanks for your time and guidance. I appreciate it. Will learn things. sometime sooner than later I will try recent stable LFS on my own. I also appreciate LFS documentation.
