I'm getting ready to start my third LFS installation and I have a question. I'm planning to use this on a laptop with a separate USB keyboard as an input device. However, I don't want to use the USB keyboard as a keyboard. I want to use it as a musical instrument (It's a long story). I want to prevent the default behavior of mapping the keyboard to the kbd driver when the device is attached. I've been looking for about a month and I've found lots of info on adding new devices, drivers, etc. but I can't seem to find info on overriding the default driver. Can anyone point me in the right direction or have suggestions?
