I strongly advise against repartitioning just for the sake of building LFS. It's completely unnecessary. With the hint:
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files/lfs_next_to_existing_systems.txt
you can install your LFS system on the same partition as your host Linux system. Your host will keep running unchanged and you can take as long for your LFS experience as you want.
MSB
go to install on my laptop. I have came to the conclusion that it would be best to
do my first LFS on my desktop where I have an open harddrive with nothing on it.
this will let me learn the install process and get my knowledge level up to were it needs to be to have a smooth transition from Gentoo to LFS. Cause i need a working laptop.
