Got another problem here. In the chroot environment, I have no ptys. I've done the few things it says to do in the wiki, to no avail. I can't run MAKEDEV on it either, it says: /dev/MAKEDEV: don't know how to make device "/media/lfs/dev" Same thing when i run it inside chroot. I tried changing the permission on /dev/ptmx, which is what I needed to do with 5.0 on Slack 10, but it didn't do it this time. My host is Ubuntu. Is it safe to go ahead and build without the ptys? They are needed for the test suites says the book, so could I go and build the system, come back when I have ptys and run tests? Of course I'll probably have to rebuild a bunch of things if the tests fail, but I'm ok with that.
