 Not exactly (I'm a vim man these days, which I find somewhat hard to
believe, but in the abence of ispf a man's gotta do ...), but all the
big distros are shipping emacs for x86_64, so you might be able to
placate it with

cp /usr/share/automake-v.v.v/config.{guess,sub} .

(obviously, replace -v.v.v by whatever version of automake you
installed, and it depends a bit on how the configure script is set up -
I can remember on package that sourced these files from a subdirectory,
and usually the message is a more blunt 'invalid host' or similar.)

 If that fails, build cpio, get yourself an rpm2cpio script, and get the
.src.rpm from fedora to see what patches they apply.
