I run both with a serial mouse and don't notice any conflicts. I'm not trying to start a pissing contest, I just don't see the issues you apparently see. And I use a serial mouse on several machines. I have an old KVM switch and serial cables that I bought years and years ago. I still use it to switch between 4 different machines, all configured to use /dev/ttyS0 as the default mouse. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 23:32:00 up 115 days, 23:05, 2 users, load average: 0.24, 0.29, 0.40 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
