Yes, I believe in that particular instance that was the case. And normally
the files.ext~ files wouldn't cause a problem, I agree. However in that
particular case they were in fact causing some sort of weird behavior.
Unfortunately I can't just now recall the details. I'll try to look a bit
later in the archives to see if I can spot the thread and whether or not
there was a problem worth considering.
