I'm not like the average windows user who could care less about what the OS is doing and more about praying it will work today 8). I'm not sure where my need for a well organized computer came from but you wouldn't know it was a need by looking at my desk. So in my very humble opinion and with my half cent in an over inflated market, I would like to see a better adoption of the standards. But since a few think it is a waste of time and many more don't even care. Might I suggest a HOW-TO on how to make the said changes on one's system. I wouldn't even know where to start or how to go about it. Tarek mentioned something about using --mandir on the configuration (does that work in all situations?). Would a sed command work where the - --mandir doesn't? And can this change be made after one has already installed their system. Thanks and I'm enjoying learning with you folks.
