Hello:

I have uploaded the package manager I use (for lack of creativity I
named it ttPM:-) to <http://linuxfromscratch.org/~tushar/downloads/>.

The ttPM-2005-07-15.tar.bz2 tarball includes a README that indicates
how the package manager is organized. From the README: this pacakge
manager is a combination of two styles of pacakge management as
mentioned at
<http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/introduction/important.html#intro-important-pkgmgt>
- The "Creating Package Archives" and "User Based Management".

In addition, build-scripts.tar.bz2 contains the build scripts that I
currently use to build packages (this includes how to avoid problems
with packages such as scrollkeeper, gconf, etc that install to files
that are shared by multiple packages). Note that I have not yet
finished building the complete set of pacakges. I will update the
build scripts as and when I install the pacakges.

I see that there is some interst on the list in using MSB's package
user hint, this is my small contribution to the excellent package
management concept that he created. I hope folks find it useful.
Thanks.

Have fun,
Tushar.
