Apologies for using ?mount? instead of ?mknod?. I guess it can happen to a fella when the embarrassment of having compiled his main ext2 file system as module exceeds a certain threshold. Many thanks for the clarifications on creating console and null nodes twice. In the _smaller_ scheme of things, still confused about the inconsistency of using first mode 600 and three commands later, mode 622. I suppose it was done on purpose to divert the reader's mind off the more troublesome things in life nowadays :-) Ken: > das eine Mal als Tragdie, das andere Mal als Farce or as Stanley Kramer once put it, It's a mad mad mad mad world out there. As a general note, To Mr. Beekmans and all of the hard workers, Thanks youse guys and congratulations for a great concept with a superb execution, an excellent book (guide) and great support.
