David, with all due respect, there can be no misunderstanding of the
instructions.

Either you follow them, and then the installation goes smooth, or you
don't follow them, and end up trying to patch the linuxthreads
package with a glibc patch.

We have to stop hand-holding so much. The instructions are good, plain
and simple. Folks just have to read them.
