Hello, the group "cdrom" is missing in /etc/group, but is used in the udev-rules provided by lfs. This does not harm with a pure lfs or blfs system, but leads to a non-booting system (udevstart fails) if you extend the system later on by using openldap with nsswitch, because group cdrom is not found locally und a ldap-lookup is made, which then times out. This results in an empty /dev tree.
