I just created a RIP (Rescue is Possible) boot pendrive, so I figure the
process for the LFS live cd should be similar or the same. Matt is right, of
course, there's no point of trying unless you know you can boot from usb

1. create a FAT16 or FAT32 filesystem on your pendrive
2. mount it and copy the livecd iso to it
3. run syslinux on the mounted pendrive (get syslinux from
http://syslinux.zytor.com, you'll also need mtools, which is not mentioned
anywhere)
4. That should do it

I'd be interested to know if it works

I have a machine that boots from USB, I may have a quick look at this myself.
