Either one.  Most everything on the two CDs is identical.  If you
don't mind seeing those gcc test failures, then keep using 6.1.1-1. 
Or burn the new one and keep going.

Well, the way to find out if the patch would work is to unpack the
3.4.3 tarball and try to apply the patch.  If you get an error, then
the patch won't work.  Actually, this afternoon I think I'll polish up
the patch, check to see if it works on 3.4.3 and resubmit it to the
patches project.

Don't worry about the patch for now.  If later you decide that you
want to upgrade the kernel and you want your gcc to be bug free (or
less buggy, maybe), you can rebuild gcc.  That's perfectly safe.
