hi

i had just installed LFS-6.1.1 from the LiveCD as host, when the system is booting its looks like the call to the script that populate the /dev is missing, the system can not boot, the networking script dose get called and so the syslog one, any one have any suggestions?

thanks

These days, we don't get many problems with missing or non-executable bootscripts because they are installed like any other package.

Please confirm that /dev/console and /dev/null exist in the new system when it is mounted at /mnt/lfs (/dev will be mounted over these, but init needs a console to boot).

Udev used to be a kernel option, but I think it can no longer be turned-off for all recent kernels.
