I'm trying to compile binutils for the toolchain in chapter 5. I ran configure which finished in about 30 seconds, but then when I ran make, it took all night. After about 15 hours, I noticed that it was doing the same thing over and over. Upon further examination, it looks like when I run make it is just keeps running "./config.status --recheck". It generates a new makefile and then just starts over with the recheck.
I haven't been able to find anything in the manual that I did wrong leading up to here, and I'm stumped. Is there some simple thing I'm missing, or is there some additional info that I should post?
