*Why* are you using 6.1 and why a pre-release? If you are going to use
Fedora 4 for a host, it would be a much better idea to use LFS 6.1.1.
In that version, this issue is fixed. You need a patch to build
binutils-2.15.94.0.2.2 with gcc 4+. You will need to start over anyways
and build binutils as in 6.1.1 if you want to keep FC4.
