I remember I've also got that error some time ago, and as far as my
memory goes it was ignorance on my own behalf that caused it.
Had forgotten to follow the instructions in "6.2. Mounting Virtual
Kernel File Systems". Double-check that the LFS variable is set
correctly, read the book carefully, and don't try to rush it as mistakes
are bound to happen. (Been there, done that.. :( )
At least that's the easy solution which worked for me. If that's not the
case, I would suspect something went wrong when building your toolchain,
and the easiest solution would be to start over..
