>> Use book. Book good. >No Paul, it is "Follow book, book good". FBBG
As I get older I find my short-term memory gets worse. That's why I make scripts from the book. >My point is I built (b)lfs-6.1, and I would like to start another >build, and I was wondering if that would be worth (as it will be only >my second build) to do with lfs-6.1.1, or if I should wait for next I just had to check, because my LiveCD is 6.1. The main differences are zlib-1.2.3 & perl-5.8.7--that's why it's only a .1 release--insignificant changes. The zlib has a security fix, so that should be updated, but you can do that without doing a whole rebuild. If'n it were me, I'd just update what I needed. >> May I suggest that in future releases the LiveCD also contains the >book relevant for each specific release? > >Um, the CDs already do. Read the greeting at the initial console >prompt. :) It's not in the sources directory! It does me no good being in the booted system, I'm using my LFS-4.1 as host--it's much faster running from a HD than a CD.
