I'm building lfs 6.1.1 using a 6.0 lfs system running
on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. When I get to the step
of mounting /dev in the chroot environment (section
6.8.2 in the book), I get the following error:

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on
none,
       missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog -
try
       dmesg | tail or so

I've started over twice with the same result, and
don't really know where to look next (I've looked
through the source but nothing obvious suggests
itself). Could anyone suggest what might be going
wrong?

Thanks much,
Dave
