Hi,

From the Stable LFS Errata:

"Compiling gcc-3.4.3 while running a 2.6.12 or later kernel will result in
testsuite failures due to a new kernel feature. Use the patch located
here..."

I'm new to LFS (though not new to LFS, see introduction yesterday). I'm
currently preparing my build host. Usually, I use Slackware 10.2 with a stock
2.6.12 kernel from kernel.org tuned to my hardware.

Question to the gurus here: is it better to

a) downgrade my kernel to 2.6.11(.x) or

b) use the patch

???

Cheers,

Niki Kovacs
