Hi, I recently installed LFS on my computer. I have problems setting up sound on the system. I compiled AC97 driver as a module in the kernel. I installed ALSA utils and libs as mentioned in the BLFS book.
snd_intel8x0, snd_ac97_codec are listed in lsmod. When I open KMix, I am able to adjust the volumes. But, there is no sound on the system yet. Can somebody tell me the steps I have to follow to get the sound working? Or tell me if I have to install something else in addition to the presently installed components.
