I am sorry for the lack of information. I guess that it is obvious that I am a newbie at this. You are correct in the assessment that /tools/bin/gcc was not working. I would type gcc --version and I would get information about gcc but then I would get that the directory does not exist. I exited lfs and re-compile gcc as root, then I went back to lfs and everything worked. Weird, but it worked. I have finished the entire process, I am only looking into how I can put this distro into an iso? Any ideas?

PS Thanks for all that you guys have done with the LiveCD. I enjoy have all of the packages immediately available.

I don't see how you came to this conclusion. There are plenty of reasons
for having problems with gcc. Dexter - more information is needed.
Exactly what error message are you getting? Does /tools/bin/gcc exist?
(and make sure to respond through the LFS support list)

That is true, especially since Dexter isn't even using the livecd.
