It was quite a while ago that I "fixed" errors by turning off NTP anyway. It might not be accurate. To cut to the chase, I would move on. This is a fairly common failure that is affected by the host environment according to this bug: http://sources.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=330 If you want, keep the source and build directory for glibc. After you finish building lfs and boot it up, run make check again and see if the results are the same.
Any other suggestions as to what may cause this?
I don't know. In another google hit on the libc-alpha mailing list, Greg Shafer brought up how running the tests on a kernel compiled with a recent gcc may clear up nptl test failures. Out of curiousity, could you answer a couple questions? 1. What is your host environment? Distro? Kernel version? 2. If you still have the build directory, what is the error shown in /sources/glibc-build/nptl/tst-clock2.out? Presumably, it will say "clock_gettime round 0 failed". -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
