For me, invoking a session dbus has always involved simply wrapping
the correct command with dbus-launch. It starts when the session
starts and dies when the session dies. Your approach is making shell
scripts for each user when to me it would probably be better at the
system level. You're also using sudo to get the correct permissions.
That has never been necessary for me when using dbus. Finally, the
reset script is killing dbus, when dbus-launch is setup to handle this
on its own with --exit-with-session.
No offense meant. The fact is that I've never used kdm, so what you're
proposing may in fact be the best way. Also, I provide no alternative,
which leaves your method which sounds like it works.
