The issue isn't that you're using different versions from the book, the problem is that you're deviating from the book and then posting for help in LFS Support. If you knew what you were doing you wouldn't need to post in LFS Support. If you don't know what you're doing, don't deviate from the book. LFS Support is usually for helping people trying to follow the LFS book. FBBG.
