Hello,

after patching, building, preparation and compilation of the package gcc-3.4.3
I run
make -k check.
everything is fine but not the

FAIL: gcc.dg/pch/common-1.c -O0 -g (test for excess errors)
FAIL: gcc.dg/pch/common-1.c .....................
.... and so on

it's always path gcc.dg/pch/....... (about 150x)

I found something at
http://linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/lfs-support/2005-September/028252.html

There the answer was the kernel --> he used version 2.6.12.x
but I'm using the LFS-LiveCD as Host --> kernel 2.6.11.12

Man, I forgot about that issue.

Michael, this probably isn't the answer you want to hear, but I would
suggest starting over with LFS-6.2. The issue with pch in gcc-3.4.3 is
fixed in the gcc version used in the new stable version. Also, it will
be difficult for anyone here to support systems older than the current
stable book.

If you insist on using the older book, a fix is to use gcc-3.4.6.
