I use an *old* Linksys KVM without any issues whatsoever. It is a
ProConnect 4-station, model #SVIEW04.

Can't help you there, my switch does not have DVI capability.

Mine works just fine, without any issues whatsoever.

I know I wasn't able to provide very much help, other than
I use one without any issues whatsoever. :-)

It is as simple as pushing Ctrl-Alt-RightShift and then 1, 2,
3 or 4 depending on the box I want. Different video resolution,
scan rates, color settings, etc. don't matter. The monitor
adjusts according to the signal it receives.
