Hi Kriss,
It is probably a protected DVD IE: I wouldn't be able to copy it to a
blank DVD and run it from there but I would think I should be able to
play it from the media. I have had audio CDs that I was not able to copy
to disk and play but I was able to play the tracks from the original
CD. Wouldn't this be the same? I don't have mplayer compiled but I don't
think that would do any better. I can't even read the files from the
media at a system level. For instance with the intro file I can do a 'od
- -cf file" and see the files contents and I can cp the file to disk IE:
open for read. With the other files in that directory I can do neither.
Only read errors. Is it possible for a file system to mark a DVD to be
unreadable from a computer but allow it to be read from a DVD player?
That doesn't sound logical. I'll try some other movie DVDs I have and
see what happens.

Arnie
