I usually mean me by somebody. ;-) The question was rather wether this is a
problem of general interest and if yes which route shoud be taken.

Yes it is of general interest. The kernel headers used now in LFS are
going to cause a lot of issues for a while. Any help getting these
issues documented helps everybody. This info won't go in the book
right away (as I mentioned above), but it will help others in the
meantime.

So, please put the information on the wiki. I believe the upstream
developers already know about the situation, although I'm concerned
that I haven't seen the patch applied yet.

Just put it on the page for kopete, which would be kdenetwork, I
think. Say what the problem is and say what the fix is. The server
appears to be down right now. If you browse around in the Wiki, you
can find a few other examples. Here's one:
