Traditionally you could always get away with this little
script, save as /usr/local/bin/yacc, and chmod 755:

#!/bin/sh
BISON=`which bison`
exec $BISON -y "$@"

I think the issue in this case is that bison is missing completely.
But if you had a wonky install that included bison but not yacc, then
that would definitely help.
