I'm trying to make an embedded linux-system. For that I'm the following the LFS 6.2 book. I successfully followed it to chapter 6.2, but there I have a question : are those devices and filesystems needed to build the rest of the system ? The hard-disk I'm using, a USB-disk, is mounted with nodev, and will not be used in the target system. The target disk will be a CF-card. Should I remount the disk so I can create those devices and filesystems ? If so, why (I want to learn ;-)).
Thanks for any help,
Koenraad Lelong.
