 Wrong list!  Please use lfs-support for problems with lfs.

 Meanwhile, google suggests that INIT: giving a segmentation
violation is usually a kernel problem, caused by using a development
kernel, at least on x86.  So, please check your kernel's .config to
see if there is anything obviously incorrect (e.g. wrong cpu
selection).  Running memtest86 or memtest86+ for several hours would
be good, to be sure that this isn't really a problem with the memory.

 If those don't show anything, please ask on lfs-dev and mention
which version of the book, what cpu you are using, and any
deviations from the book (e.g. using a newer kernel).
