As you can see from my other post, that is *not* required.

I would vote against this anyway. Unless something changed in the last 
few years (I've been "dormant"), the book is intended for 
intermediate-to-advanced users? So, a combination of advanced planning 
and/or  problem resolution (such as posting for help or applying your 
pre-existing knowledge to design a solution) seems more in keeping with 
the spirit.


We learn more from overcoming obstacles than blindly following 
instructions (which, you can surmise, has resulted in much angst over 
the years about how much CnP should be included, how much underlying 
theory and/or background info, etc.).

Since the book is not intended to address all possible knowledge and/or 
planning gaps, and *is* intended to "educate", I think a certain amount 
of omitted detail is appropriate.
